Bolton Betting Preview
Sam Allardyce will need all his managerial skills to improve on Bolton’s 8th place last year. They’ve been very consistent in the last three seasons but it is difficult to envisage this side getting anyway near that position. Big Sam has brought in three main players in Abdoulaye Meite, Idan Tal and Quinton Fortune, but it remains to be seen as to how effective they will be.
A lot of goals last season came from the midfield duo of Stelios Giannakopoulos and Kevin Nolan -- in fact, more than their strike force of Kevin Davies and Jared Borgetti. If the goals from the central areas dried up this season and the front men under perform, then Bolton might struggle to finish in the upper half of the table. And you just get the feeling that Allardyce has taken Bolton as far as he can and maybe they will struggle.
