England: Ashton commits to Norwich [Thu Aug 25th, 2005]
Highly-rated striker Dean Ashton has decided to commit his future to Norwich, in the wake of speculation linking him with moves to various Premiership clubs.
The Canaries have put a £10m price tag on the head of the former Crewe striker in an attempt to scare off the likes of Wigan and West Ham.
Ashton has agreed a one-year extension to his previous three-year deal with the East Anglian club.
The 21--year-old told Norwich's website: "I feel my ambition is matched by Norwich. I’m happy here and am delighted to continue working with Nigel Worthington."
Ashton joined Norwich for £3m in January, but despite fine form wasn't able to keep them in the top flight.
