France: PSG midfielder Cana to join Olympique Marseille [Thu Aug 25th, 2005]
Paris (Reuters) - Paris St Germain midfielder Lorik Cana is set to join Olympique Marseille while striker Danijel Ljuboja has been loaned to VfB Stuttgart, PSG said.
"Lorik Cana, 22, who had made his professional debut with PSG, will join Olympique Marseille while Danijel Ljuboja, 27, is going to experience the German league," the club said on their website.
"Lorik wanted to leave and there was no point in trying to keep him here," a Parisian official said. "Marseille have made a substantial offer and he (Cana) has decided to go."
PSG are top of Ligue 1, level on 10 points with champions Olympique Lyon, thanks to three wins and a draw. Marseille are 19th with one point.
