Spain: Deportivo to complain to UEFA after defeat in Marseille [Thu Aug 25th, 2005]
Madrid (Reuters) - Deportivo La Coruna have said they will lodge an official complaint with UEFA over incidents that took place during their InterToto Cup final defeat by Olympique Marseille.
The Galicians let slip a 2-0 first leg lead to lose 5-1 at the Stade Velodrome, where they had two players sent off.
The club said they would provide a video of the game and press cuttings from Spanish newspapers to support their case, although they did not detail the precise nature of the complaint.
After Tuesday's match, Deportivo coach Joaquin Caparros was critical of Russian referee Nikolai Ivanov's handling of the game, which he described as "shameful".
