Ex-Wollongong Pogliacomi signs for Blackpool [Fri Aug 26th, 2005]
Former Wollongong Wolves goalkeeper Les Pogliacomi has signed for League One outfit Blackpool until the end of the season.
The 29-year-old, who also played for Parramatta Power in the now-defunct NSL, joined Blackpool from Oldham Athletic and is set to make his Pool debut this weekend at home to Swindon Town.
"Oldham will always have a special place in my heart," Pogliacomi told Oldham's official website. "The people were warm and friendly from the start and made the move to the UK so much easier. I would like to thank them for that.
"There have been highs and lows but I am taking a lot of fond memories with me. I am sad to be going but life must go on and I need to be playing. It has been frustrating watching from the sidelines and not being involved, you want to be in the thick of the action."
"I am just glad that I played one of my better games in an Oldham shirt against Bradford (City) in the final match last season which helped keep us in League One."
