Campeonato Brasileiro joint leaders Corinthians have sold striker Jo to the GSI business group, which will find him a club in Portugal.
Jo, who has scored three goals this season alongside Carlos Tevez in the Corinthians attack, will join either Benfica or Porto after becoming surplus to requirement following the arrival on loan of Honorato Nilmar from French champions Lyon.
The deal was worth more than US$5 million to Corinthians and Jo should find out who he will play for on Monday.
He will make his farewell to Corinthians fans on Sunday during the Campeonato match with Botafogo.
