England: Rovers land Georgian defender [Wed Aug 31st, 2005]

Blackburn have completed the signing of Georgian defender Zurab Khizanishvili on a season-long loan deal from Rangers.

Rovers could make the deal permanent if the 23-year-old impresses while on loan at Ewood Park.

Khizanishvili joined from Dundee in 2003, but has fallen out of favour with the Scottish champions and hasn't featured yet this season.
