England: Campbell returns for Arsenal [Wed Aug 31st, 2005]
Arsenal defender Sol Campbell has returned to action after playing for the club’s reserves.
The England centre-back has been out since May with a calf injury, but completed the full 90 minutes of the second string’s win over Leicester.
Manager Arsene Wenger said earlier on: "His fitness is very good, he just needs games now. He has not had one for a long, long time.
"I don’t want to fix any time for his return, but he will come back into first-team contention at the time I think he is ready."
