Italy: Chievo bag Roma youngster [Wed Aug 31st, 2005]
As Italy awaits news regarding the sales of Antonio Cassano and Mancini, AS Roma announced the sale of one of their most promising youngsters, Giuseppe Scurto.
The 21 year-old defender was sold to Chievo with the very Italian ‘compropieta’ formula, meaning Roma still own half of his contract.
At the end of this season, Roma will decide whether to bring him back to the Eternal City, or whether to allow Chievo to gain full ownership.
