Belgium: Dragutinovic leaves Liege [Thu Sep 1st, 2005]
Standard Liege's defender Ivica Dragutinovic has had his wish granted by sealing a last-minute move to Sevilla.
It looked as though the 30-year-old would have to stay put until the January transfer window after deals to take him to Olympiakos and Marseille had fallen through.
However, in the dying minutes of the transfer window, Sevilla made their move and Dragutinovic signed a three-year contract with the Spanish Primera Liga side, with the option of a further year.
Dragutinovic spent nine years in Belgium and began his career at AA Gent before signing for Les Rouches, for whom he made 116 appearances.
The Serbo-Montenegrin will look to fill the void left by Spanish prodigy Sergio Ramos, who also moved on deadline day, to Real Madrid for 27 million euros.
