Spain: Galician rivals strengthen their teams [Thu Sep 1st, 2005]

Deportivo La Coruna and Celta Vigo have both strengthened their squads before the transfer window closed.

Depor signed Uruguayan striker Sebastian Taborda from Defensor de Montevideo as they look to replace Albert Luque.

As for Celta, Argentine centre-back Matias Lequi moved from Lazio on a loan deal, and he was joined by Dutch Under-21 international Daniel de Ridder from Ajax.
