England: Brazilian midfielder Rochemback joins Middlesborough [Thu Sep 1st, 2005]

Madrid (Reuters) - Brazilian midfielder Fabio Rochemback, who has been on loan at Sporting from Barcelona for the last two years, has joined Middlesborough, the Primera Liga club said.

Rochemback joined Barcelona on a five-year deal from Internacional for US$12.2 million in July 2001, but left for Sporting on a three-year loan deal two years later.

Barcelona said they had been paid a compensation fee of 1.5 million euros by Premier League club Middlesborough.
