Taking a quick look at the exploits of some of Asia's players plying their trade in Europe:
Park Ji-sung (South Korea and Manchester United)
The 24 year-old played 81 minutes of United’s 1-1 draw with local rivals Manchester City and was busy around the pitch but could have done better with two decent scoring chances.
Vasid Hashemian (Iran and Hannover 96)
’The Helicopter’ played a full game as Hannover defeated Eintracht Frankfurt 2-0. Hashemian didn’t get on the scoresheet but troubled the visiting defence..
Seol Ki-hyoen (South Korea and Wolverhampton Wanderers)
After two games rest, Seol played all but two minutes of his team’s 1-1 draw with newly-promoted Luton as Wolves move into sixth.
Ali Karimi (Iran and Bayern Munich)
Bayern Munich came from behind to take all three points at Nuremburg but the Iranian had a quiet game and was substituted during the break.
Shunsuke Nakamura (Japan and Celtic)
The talented midfielder played well in Celtic’s regulation 2-0 victory at home to Aberdeen, he played some nice passes and crosses before being substituted after 70 minutes.
Lee Young-pyo (South Korea and Tottenham Hotspur)
The 28-year-old impressed on his debut in the goalless draw with Liverpool. Lee played well, especially in the first half, and was the only Spurs player to be awarded 8 out of 10 by Sky Sports of England.
Junihci Inamoto (Japan and West Brom)
The midfielder didn’t make the bench in West Brom’s home defeat at the hands of Premier League new-boys Wigan.
Sun Jihai (China and Manchester City)
Sun played the last 19 minutes of City’s impressive 1-1 draw at Manchester United and looked solid at the back.
