England: Man U's Keane faces injury layoff [Thu Sep 15th, 2005]

Roy Keane faces up to six weeks on the sidelines after the Manchester United captain suffered a hamstring injury in the match against Manchester City on the weekend.

The 34-year-old midfielder trained on Tuesday morning but reported a problem with his hamstring.

Along with United's game against Villarreal, Keane could miss the next six Premiership fixtures as well as several Champions League matches.

United will certainly miss their inspirational skipper. In the 23 games in which Keane has been out over the last two seasons, the Red Devils have dropped a total of 31 points - almost half of those available.
