US: MetroStars add Argentine midfielder [Thu Sep 15th, 2005]
After weeks of speculation, the MetroStars have added 24-year-old Argentine holding midfielder Daniel Garipe, known as "The Ripper."
He will join the club's 18-man squad upon receipt of his visa and will occupy one of the Metros' youth international spots.
“We feel ‘The Ripper’ can provide some bite and stability in our midfield,†said MetroStars President and General Manager Alexi Lalas. “He’s a no-nonsense
player who’s shown he has no problem getting down and dirty for the cause.â€
