Newcastle manager Money expecting tough game [Fri Sep 16th, 2005]

Newcastle United Jets football manager Richard Money says he is expecting a tough game when his side takes on the New Zealand Knights in their A-League clash at EnergyAustralia Stadium on Sunday.

With both teams winning their last outings – Newcastle defeated Sydney FC 2-1 while the Knights won 2-0 at the Central Coast Mariners – Money says his side will need to be on top form to pick up all three points.

"This is going to be a very difficult game. New Zealand Knights are a very competitive and organised team who are coming off the back of a confidence-boost victory against an inform Mariners team," he said.

Mateo Corbo will miss the game through suspension.

Meanwhile, the club’s CEO George Liolio has asked fans to turn up early for the 5pm kickoff, with his side expecting a bumper crowd following the impressive win over Sydney FC.
