US: FC Dallas sign Argentine & Canadian [Sat Sep 17th, 2005]

In an effort to boost their club for the MLS playoff stretch, FC Dallas released two players and announced two new signings.

Reserves Ty Maurin and Alex Woods have been shown the door by FCD manager Colin Clarke in order to make room for two internationals.

Thirty-year old Argentine goalkeeper Dario Sala joins after a career in South America that saw him suit up for clubs like River Plate, Independiente and Newell's Old Boys from his native country, as well as Jaguares de Chiapas in the Mexican league.

The second signing comes from the north. Canadian U-23 defender Winston Marshall has joined the FC Dallas developmental squad. Marshall was selected by the Hoops in the 2005 MLS SuperDraft.
