Liberec top in Czech Republic [Sun Sep 18th, 2005]
Brno missed a penalty and had a man sent off as they fell to a 1-0 defeat against Liberec in the Czech Republic, a victory that gave the travelling side early leadership of the Gambrinus Liga.
Jaroslav Cerny was the man who was foiled by the reflexes of Liberec keeper Marek Cech in the 33rd minute of the clash and things got worse for the hosts when David Horejs was dismissed 40 minutes later for his second yellow card.
Brno's poor day was made complete when Liberec took advantage of the extra man as Juraj Ancic fired in a dramatic 79th-minute winner.
