Shandong Luneng have moved into third place in China with a victory over Wuhan Huanghelou.
Zheng Zhi opened the scoring for Shandong, who were in action in the Asian Champions League midweek, with a 25th minute penalty, a lead that was doubled two minutes after the restart by Han Peng. Gilson scored a late consolation for the visitors.
Two goals from Beijing Hyundai’s Tai Wei gave the side from the capital a 2-1 win at Shanghai Zobon.
Inter Shanghai earned a rare away win at Sichuan Guancheng, coming away from the mid-table outfit’s home with a 3-1 win.
Elsewhere, Qingdao Zhongeng defeated bottom club Chongqing Qiche.
The top three, Dalian Shide, Shanghai Shenhua and Tianjin Teda are in action later in the weekend.
