Ukraine: Shakhtar Donetsk held by Stal [Mon Sep 19th, 2005]
Unbeaten Shakhtar Donetsk missed the chance to extend their lead at the top of the Premier League in Ukraine after a last-gasp goal gave opponents Stal a share of the points.
A 36th-minute strike from Oleksiy Belyk looked to have been enough to give Shakhtar the victory, but Georgi Tsimakuridze popped up in injury time to pull Stal level and snatch a surprising draw for the team who are just six points above the foot of the table.
However, Shakhtar remain two points clear of Dynamo Kiev, who were also pegged back by a late goal in their 2-2 draw with Metalist Kharkov.
Sergei Rebrov saw his 25th-minute opener cancelled out by Metalist's Ruslan Yarosh five minutes later, but Diogo Rincon restored Dynamo's lead before the interval.
The home side were heading for a win which would have lifted them to the top of the table but Lasha Dzhakobiya had other ideas, scoring in the 87th minute to move Metalist into the top four.
Winless Zakarpattya continue to prop up the standings after a late goal from Volodymyr Gomeniuk denied them a point at Tavriya Symferopol, while Metallurg Zaporizhzhya are also struggling after a 2-2 draw with Arsenal Kiev.
In other matches, FC Kharkiv enjoyed a 2-0 win over Vorskla, Chornomorets trounced FC Volyn 3-0 and Kryvbas slipped to a narrow 1-0 loss at home to Illichivets Mariupol.
