Madrid (Reuters) - Reports of matches played in the Primera Liga:
ALAVES 3 GETAFE 4
Getafe claimed top spot for the first time in their history with a spectacular win in a seven goal-thriller at Mendizorroza.
The modest Madrid-based side twice came from behind in the first half, goals from defender David Belenguer and striker Riki cancelling out a Nene double, which included a penalty.
Riki put Getafe ahead with his second goal seven minutes before the break when he volleyed home with the outside of his left foot and defender Mariano Pernia made it 4-2 early in the second half when he curled a free kick into the top corner.
Brazilian forward Nene got his hat-trick with a second penalty in the 66th minute but it was not enough for Alaves.

All the action came in the closing minutes at San Mames, with Malaga taking the lead in the 84th when Edgar pounced on a defensive error to clip in from the right side of the area.

ATLETICO MADRID 2 BARCELONA 1
A first defeat of the season for champions Barca and a first win for Carlos Bianchi's Atletico, who had to play with 10 men for the final 23 minutes after the dismissal of centre-back Pablo Ibanez.
Barca took an early lead when Samuel Eto'o scored from close range in the sixth minute, but Atletico gained a deserved equaliser when the unmarked Fernando Torres powered in a header after Bulgarian winger Martin Petrov had scorched down the left.
Mateja Kezman grabbed the winner, ghosting in at the far post after Juan Velasco clipped in a cross from the right, and Atletico held on for the win despite their numerical disadvantage.

CADIZ 1 VILLARREAL 1
Villarreal, without a win this season, took the lead against the run of play with practically their first attack when Jose Mari rifled home after a poor clearance in the 38th minute.

ESPANYOL 1 REAL MADRID 0
A third defeat in a week for Real, who lost 3-2 at home to Celta last weekend and were thrashed 3-0 by Olympique Lyon in their opening UEFA Champions League match.
Espanyol defender Daniel Jarque scored the winner 22 minutes from time when he got behind the Real back four to head in a probing free kick from Ivan de la Pena and give the Catalans their second win in a row.
Real's misery was compounded when two of their new signings Sergio Ramos and Julio Baptista were sent off in the dying minutes.

OSASUNA 1 SEVILLA 0
Osasuna made it two wins from three games thanks to a beautifully worked goal from David Lopez, the midfielder exchanged a neat one-two with Pierre Webo and then hammered the ball home at the near post in the 63rd minute.
The Navarrans were reduced to 10 men soon after when defender Rafael Clavero was red carded for fouling Sevilla midfielder Jesus Navas as he bore down on goal but they held on for the win. Sevilla's Kepa was sent off in injury time.

REAL BETIS 0 REAL ZARAGOZA 0
A poor quality game in which neither side did enough to merit more than a point. Ricardo Oliveira and Xisco had second-half chances for the Andalucians but failed to hit the target while Zaragoza forward Savio spurned a late chance to give the visitors their first win of the season.

REAL MALLORCA 5 REAL SOCIEDAD 2
Venezuelan striker Juan Arango scored a brilliant second-half hat-trick to help Hector Cuper's side to their first points of the season in an entertaining match at Son Moix.
The islanders took the lead through a Yordi header in the fifth minute, but Sociedad led into the break thanks to goals from former Mallorca player Alvaro Novo and Xabi Prieto.
However, Arango turned the game with two quick-fire headers in the space of three minutes and then helped himself to a spectacular third when he smacked an unstoppable volley into the far corner four minutes from time.
Greek striker Lampros Choutos completed the rout when he steered in at the far post in injury time.

VALENCIA 2 DEPORTIVO LA CORUNA 2
Diego Tristan made the most of some poor defending to put Depor ahead midway through the first half and Valencia suffered a further setback when midfielder Ruben Baraja was sent off just before the break for a reckless challenge on Manuel Pablo.
But Valencia equalised when striker David Villa converted a retaken penalty and Depor were also reduced to 10 men when Pedro Munitis was dismissed for a second booking.
The home side looked to be heading for victory after defender Miguel Monteiro made it 2-1 with a thundering drive in the 80th minute, but Depor grabbed a valuable away point when midfielder Sergio finished off a lightning counter attack with a simple tap-in.
