Holland: PSV duo Reiziger, Ball face long spell on sidelines [Tue Sep 20th, 2005]

Amsterdam (Reuters) - PSV Eindhoven's new signings Michael Reiziger and Michael Ball face long spells out after being injured at the weekend, the Dutch champions said.

The two defenders, who joined the club before the transfer window closed last month, were hurt when PSV suffered their first league defeat for 21 matches at Groningen.

Former Middlesborough player Reiziger tore a hip muscle and will be sidelined for several weeks.

Englishman Ball, who left Rangers for PSV, will be out for two months with a knee ligament injury.
