Default LuaLua signs new Portsmouth deal

Quote:
Lomana LuaLua is to stay at Portsmouth after signing a new three-year deal.
The 25-year-old striker, captain of DR Congo, had a year left on his previous contract and admitted he had thought about leaving the club.

But after agreeing his new deal, he told Portsmouth's website: "There has been a lot of speculation but I've always wanted to remain with Pompey."

Scottish midfielder Richard Hughes has also signed a new three-year deal at Fratton Park.

"I'm delighted," he told the Portsmouth website. "I've been really happy at the club since I joined four years ago.

"I never wanted to go elsewhere, so I'm over the moon to be staying at the club who are establishing themselves and progressing in the Premiership
