Sevilla show Suazo interest
Quote:
Milan face competition from Sevilla in their bid for David Suazo, while Fiorentina are interested in his Cagliari teammate Mauro Esposito.
Honduras international Suazo has been in Sardinia since 1999-2000, but his price-tag escalated after scoring a club record 22 Serie A goals this season.
He has been heavily linked with Milan as a replacement for Andriy Shevchenko, but it’s reported this weekend that Spanish outfit Sevilla are in negotiations for the 25-year-old. The rumour claims that an offer of £8m has been tabled, but that Cagliari are holding out for £10m.
The Stadio Sant’Elia side are also considering the future of Azzurri man Esposito, who is expected to return to the Italy camp after the World Cup.
Inter, Milan, Roma and several overseas outfits have shown an interest in him, but the most likely move would appear to be to Fiorentina.
He had already been linked with the Viola last season and Coach Cesare Prandelli considers him a prime target, but the £7m price-tag is posing a problem. The alternative would be Franco Semioli of Chievo, who has been in negotiations with Roma
