* 17h Match - 1130 am GMT - Scotland 1 - Norway 1 Bordeaux

Craig Burley's goal at the 66 minute mark kept his nation's World Cup hopes alive as the Scots obtained a 1-1 tie with Norway. Burley chased down substitute David Weir's 25-yard pass and volleyed it on one hop over advancing goalkeeper Frode Grodas.

It came only minutes after a Scotland coach Craig Brown made two substitutions, bringing on Weir for Colin Calderwood and Jackie McNamara for Darren Jackson. That allowed Burley to assume a more central role in midfield, and it paid off.

A loss wound have made the Scotland, which lost 2-1 last week to Brazil, the first team to be mathematically eliminated from any chance of advancing to the second round. Still, the Scots will need to beat Morocco next week and get some help from others in the group to advance for the first time in eight World Cup appearances.

Norway had gone ahead as Havard Flo's header scored 30 seconds after the break. Flo got past Christian Dailly at the far post to head Vidar Riseth's left wing cross.

* 18th Match - 3:30 pm GMT - Brazil 3 - Morocco 0 Nantes

Brazil took an early lead when Ronaldo, who had done everything but score up to now, broke the ice in the ninth minute for his first World Cup goal and set up Bebeto for the third at the 49th. But that hardly measured the torment he caused the Lions' defense with a variety of dribbles, passes and near-misses.

The Brazilian defense kept the agile Moroccan atackers away from Taffarel's goal so much that he didn't have to make a save all night long.

The Lions defense tried every way to shut down Ronaldo, even physically. In the 18th minute, Said Chiba came in cleats high, tearing Ronaldo's shorts and leaving an ugly bruise on his left thigh. But Russian referee Nikolai Levnikov let him off with a warning. Cesar Sampaio who drew his second yellow of the Cup, will miss the game against Norway as a result.Bebeto finished the Brasilians scoring with a cross shot at the 50 minute mark.
